The Rochester Canoe Club (RCC) in Rochester, New York, is an informal family sailing club interested in promoting one design sailboat sailing and racing. The Club is very family oriented with members of all ages.
Most of you have seen the assorted photos of WRSC’s past Commodores, tucked away in the back meeting room. We fondly referred to the line up of photos as ‘Commodore Row”. These individuals volunteered their time and served our club in many official acts, presided at all meetings and served as the leader of our club.

On July 28 1898, about 30 summer residents agreed to form a yacht club and for that purpose assembled at the house of Charles Webb (the white house across from the club). The first meeting decided that race entrance fees were $.50, and boats must be skippered by owners in good standing.
